Heavenly Father, Blessed are You, LORD our God.

Holy be your name. May Your kingdom come. May Your will be done. We adore You! Magnificent Father, Almighty God! You are compassionate, gracious, slow to anger, filled with unfailing love and faithfulness. Your majestic name fills the earth as the heavens proclaim Your glory!

I love You, LORD, You are my strength. The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my saviour, my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me and my place of safety. I called on the LORD,who is worthy of praise, and He saved me from my enemies.

Before You we are small, weak, insignificant and sinful… But You are so merciful and gracious that You gave Your son and purchased our freedom with the blood of Jesus and forgave our sins. Thank You for being so so good to us. You have adopted us as Your special possession, Your children. Now that we are a new creation, help us to live Your new life and do the good works You planned for us as we overcome by the blood of the lamb and by the word of our testimony.

Your grace is extended to us so that we may repent and turn to You. It wasn’t anything we did, so may we never boast. Instead, teach us to fear You. May we know that You are the living God, a devouring fire that is jealous for the spirit You placed within us. May our heart long to obey You, seeking Your Kingdom, Your Righteousness and Your Heart.

Help us to know Your holiness and delight in Your perfections. You have torn the veil, allowing us to come into Your Holy presence. May we fully know, understand and comprehend the power that lives in us. Open our eyes to see the wonderful truth of Your Word as we treasure it and meditate on it, always honouring it as more precious than gold and sweeter than honey. May we hunger and thirst for more of You. 

O LORD, You must increase, and we must decrease.

In knowing You we see our filthy rags. Search me, and know my heart, reveal my wickedness and purify me. Help us to live our lives in complete honesty before you and keep us from deceiving ourselves. We confess LORD, please cleanse me, please cleanse us from all our sin, our iniquity, our pride, our idolatry, our unrighteousness, our greed, our lust, our deception, our selfishness, our self-reliance, our apathy, our indifference, our division, our lies, our injustice and our lovelessness. O LORD, we are sorry and ask for Your forgiveness.

Help us, Your servants, to be like Jesus, listening to You, loving You and obeying You with all our heart, all our soul, all our mind and all our strength. May we be joyful people of integrity who follow your instructions. Let us know good judgement to show our allegiance to you by walking in your ways and turning from evil.

Father, in this dark world, in the palm of evil, we know that turning from our evil ways will not be easy. It will make us a target for those who love sin and are walking to destruction. Help us to embrace and endure suffering as we live Godly lives that honour and glorify You. Through suffering may we draw closer to You as we know and experience the power of Christ’s death and resurrection. In this evil world, let us take heart, and joyfully submit to You. 

LORD, may your hedge of protection be around us, the blood of Jesus be over us and the anointing oil of holiness run down us. Clothe us with light as we put on the garment of praise, the belt of truth, the shoes of peace, the breastplate of righteousness, the helmet of salvation and the cloak of zeal. Let us firmly grasp the shield of faith and the sword of the Spirit, the Word of God. Surround us with love and let us continually pray in the Spirit.

We ask that You protect us, our families, our friends, our enemies and Your churches. Please protect us all today from confusion, compromise, harassment, corruption, bitterness, envy, pride, idolatry, deception and division. Deliver us from spiritual, mental and emotional harm, from physical fatigue, injury and illness. May we guard our thoughts, words and deeds as we pursue peace, holiness and unity. 

I pray that no weapon formed against us shall prosper or succeed, no witchcraft, no curses, no evil judgement or speaking, no demonic assignment, and no snare of the fowler. May no evil or unwise counsel of the world, the flesh, or the devil prevail against us. We thank You for protecting us today, spiritually, mentally, physically, emotionally, in our finances, and our relationships. We remind the devil that he is defeated, put to shame and disarmed. The battle belongs to the LORD.

Help us to abide in You, to fully rely on You in prayer, constantly submit to Your authority in the Word of God, remain in the bond of peace with Your faithful people and break bread regularly as we share in Your body and blood.

May the LORD bless us and keep us. May the LORD shine His face on us and be gracious to us. May the LORD lift His countenance toward us and grant us peace. May the Name of the LORD be upon us today, strengthen us through Your Holy Spirit, Holy Word, and Holy Angels.

LORD, be with us today as we walk humbly with You,
in thankfulness and grace,
in faith, hope and love,
light, honesty and purity,
truth, holiness and unity,
justice and righteousness,
obedience, wisdom, peace
and the fear of the LORD.
